The Divide Golf Club is an 18-hole Championship golf course designed by John Cassell, II which opened in 1995. The club derived its name, The Divide, due to the fact that it is located in both Mecklenburg and Union Counties.The traditional layout of The Divide offers spacious Bermuda fairways and large undulating Bent grass greens, offering golfers of any skill level a challenge that will keep them coming back. Water comes into play on 10 holes making sure to keep golfers aware of their surroundings.
The practice facility features a large 30 station turf driving range, putting green, pitching green and sand bunker for pre-game warm-ups or practice sessions.
The clubhouse at The Divide offers banquet and dining facilities with indoor and patio seating.
The Divide Golf Club is a semi-private club with the membership come a membership to “The Trail” and Reciprocal Golf Privileges at Highland Creek Golf Club, The Tradition Golf Club, Birkdale Golf Club, and Waterford Golf Club
The Divide is surrounded by the Shannamara neighborhood with neighborhood facilities including swimming pool, tennis courts and walking trails.
